It's going to be night We don't know where we're going to sleep There's no sound But the sound will soon come Where's the sound going to come from? From your mum, from your dad, from your son, from your daughter, from your sister, from your brother? The sound is so loud... before there is no sound And then there is no night Goodnight God willing I'll see you soon And we will drink tea and break bread

about

CONCUSSION

2023 was a dark year for Forecast Tomorrow, and the world around us.

Whilst Pracy underwent extensive rehab for a brain injury sustained in the workplace - we had to take a step back from our goals at that time and revisit what we wanted to achieve.

As 2023 forced us to deal with our own personal problems and distractions, we were then forced to watch helplessly as the western world not only stood idly by, but continued to fund and support one of the most horrific massacres of civilian life seen in modern times.

Inspired by all these traumas, CONCUSSION was born.

This EP is a collection of experimental drones, field recordings and improvisations. It also features several guest appearances from friends of the band who share our sympathies for those in Palestine. Now on release of the complete EP, over 30,000 deaths have been recorded. The majority of this is women and children.

The EP is presented for $1 on Bandcamp. Any amount you choose to pay will be donated to Act For Peace (actforpeace.org.au/gaza-emergency/). We will donate everything.

Alternatively you can download it for $1 and make a donation to one of the following recommended charities:

About the guest stars:

Concussion II, III and IV feature guest improvisations by Gabriel Riccio and Sophia Uddin of The Gabriel Construct. Gabe has always been passionate about the freedom of the Palestinian people and wanted to contribute some of his project's darker improvisations to the project, including his hypnotising keyboard work and Sophia Uddin's haunting violin. We were more than happy to oblige and what resulted was inspiration for several more tracks on the EP.

Concussion V features an original Arabic poem performed by guest vocalist Taghreed Daftar. Taghreed’s family arrived in Australia in 1997 after her family was forced to flee her home country of Iraq following the war with Kuwait. Taghreed’s heart knows the suffering of the Arab people all too well.

It's going to be night
We don't know where we're going to sleep
There's no sound
But the sound will soon come
Where's the sound going to come from?
From your mum, from your dad, from your son, from your daughter, from your sister, from your brother?
The sound is so loud... before there is no sound
And then there is no night
Goodnight
God willing I'll see you soon
And we will drink tea and break bread
